Swanbourne

Our Swanbourne project began with a charming 1930s heritage home, connected to a striking contemporary extension. While our clients loved the character of the original architecture and the clean lines of the new build, they weren’t sure how to bring the two styles together in a cohesive way.

Working closely with them, we reimagined the home with a coastal-luxe style direction, a palette of taupe, smoky blue, ivory, fresh white, soft fern green, and caramel tones layered with warm timbers.

The transformation continued outdoors, where the pool room / kitchenette received a complete facelift. A porcelain splashback became the hero feature, paired with coastal-luxe inspired fixtures, fittings, and furnishings. Every piece was selected for both style and durability, including a family-friendly outdoor sofa designed with quick-dry foam and a fully waterproof cover. Across each outdoor zone, we focused on creating spaces that invite relaxation, connection, and luxurious living with easy maintenance!

Inside the front of the home that is the original 100-year-old section, we refreshed the master guest bedroom and home office with a refined coastal-luxe minimalism style. Through thoughtful layering, gentle textures, and a light, tonal colour palette connected to the rest of the design, these rooms now honour the home’s heritage while feeling effortlessly contemporary.

The result is a beautifully balanced home where heritage detailing meets modern simplicity, and every space from the front door to the back gate feels calm, cohesive, and intentional.
